T'was the night before the Early Action I mailing
And throughout Bernon Hall
All the admission counselors were stirring
Not even thinking about Roosevelt Field Mall

The letters were printed
Piled ceiling high, on a chair
Each with a personalized message
Because at Hofstra, we really, truly do care

The applicants were sleeping
All warm in their beds
While visions of acceptance letters
Danced in their heads

We stuffed all the letters
Sealed each one shut with a kiss
More than three thousand
Not a one did we miss

Off to Boston and Dallas
To name just a few
And even Hawaii
But not Timbuktu

As the mail truck departed
The admission counselors all sang a cheer
Happy holidays to all
And come to Hofstra next year!
